*AD – This post is part of my paid partnership with Centre MK where I shop on a regular basis out with the partnership but we thought it would be nice to show all the options available around the centre because there are oodles of choices – lucky us in MK!*

I’ve not been the hugest fan of Valentines Day since I have got older, if I’m honest.

Call me a cynic but when everything from mops to maps get touted as great Valentines Day gifts I’m rolling my eyes and thinking Cupid can do one.

However, simple acts of love are always a winner with the romantic in me so we like to just mark the day with a nice memory maker like going out for dinner (doesn’t have to be cordon bleu cooking, just getting time together away from the humdrum of the norm) or a small gift which is inexpensive but meaningful.

They do say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach so a sweet treat always works with my guy.

Kids have to have one as well because St Valentines Day is all about love for everyone and as Hotel Chocolat is their fave, how could I say no?

I think we will go for our fave food, Asian and where better than Wagamama or Yo Sushi as they just do the yummiest dishes! We love both of them so it will be hard to choose but locally at centre:mk we also have Carluccio’s, Nandos, Cafe Rouge, Ask Italian and loads more to chose from.

The shops are choc full of cute little trinkets and gifts, which I find hard to resist – hell, buy yourself a Valentine’s treat – it’s all about self love!

If you ever wonder what to buy a girl who seems to have everything, a tipple will always tick the box. John Lewis have a great selection of limited edition bottles and special sparkle from Moet to Bollinger and Mermaid Tears Vodka to Zymurgorium Gin.

Whilst I was in JL I spotted this masterclass being advertised and I thought what a perfect gift, a nice wee session of make up advice from one of the most fabulous brands around. Fingers crossed some of get this from your Valentine!

I have bought myself a new frock (I know, any excuse) but I wanted a transseasonal piece in my wardrobe which will take me through to Spring so when I found this in Marks and Spencer I was chuffed to bits. Except I won’t look like she does in it sadly!

If this fit doesn’t flatter your figure, here’s some other pretty little things I found when browsing from the new drops.

I love that this jumpsuit is available in various lengths so from short arse to long tall Sally, we are all covered.

I’m super keen on this sporty dress (above) from John Lewis & Partners as it’s so versatile for so many different occasions.

However, if you want your outfit to speak the language of love, go red or dead and check out these pieces, again from John Lewis because they are just popping out the pieces at the moment!

Wherever you go and whatever you buy, have a very Happy Valentines Day and spread the love.

Until next time my lovelies!
