About Me

Hiya!! Welcome to my blog!

This is where I get to talk about anything and everything that takes my fancy. No one pulling my strings, just chat from the heart and reviews, comps and general stuff that floats my boat.

Prior to hitting publish for the first time on Ginger Mum I had been blogging for and growing the social media following for other people for years, covering beauty, fashion and a plethora of other subjects I have substantial knowledge of. I grew tired though, of having to toe the party line, sometimes asked to write things which were against my own personal views, and even being asked to embellish on reality at times to suit brand relationships. For me, this isn’t what blogging is all about. And I don’t like being told what to do!

Now I have my own stand-alone blog, I can write honestly and whether it offends at times or pleases, it’s true and from the heart. I promise you I will never work with or promote a brand which I don’t truly believe in, use or admire. In the few years since I started this blog, it has achieved things I never knew were possible from just writing.

I now regularly work huge global brands, such as Hello Fresh, Birds Eye, Leighton Denny, London Fashion Week, Batiste, Kurt Geiger, Heaven Skincare, Clothes Show, Epson, Jacques Vert, Knorr….to name but a few.

I’ve been published countless times so far on The Huffington Post and I regularly contribute to magazines, websites and I have my own monthly column in Celebrate:MK magazine.

So who am I? Well, I am originally Scottish, but a Londoner to my core. I am an only child, a mum of two gorgeous, exhausting titian-haired delights…oh and also a wife.

Previously, I have successfully enjoyed working a stylist, personal shopper, actress, writer & event manager for fashion & beauty events.

Theres a lot to be said for not spreading yourself too thin, so I will be careful not to bombard you and blog about each and every time I sneeze….but every day of mine, and most people’s lives, touch so many varied topics, I’d like to share a selection of some of those with you.

You can follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and of course, my vlogs on You Tube, I’d love to see you there! If you have any products or topics you’d like to hear more about, let me know…..

Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.

I saw your posting regarding “Wedding Hour,” which was so lovingly crafted. I couldn’t contain my excitement to share my jewelry brand with you. We also carry bridal hair accessories which have been reviewed by many in the beauty and fashion press.
I will offer my contact information and my website for you to review. I follow you on Twitter and I retweet many of your posts.

I’m doing some PR for something which I think you might be interested in including in your Christmas Gift Guide. Is there an email address I can send the relevant material to, please?
