Last week, a very interesting package arrived for me from those lovely people at Superdrug.

Choc-full of goodies, this really was a box of delights! They were promoting their wellbeing pamper hampers, lovely selections of their top-pick products which most of us would never even realise they sold. I must admit, 1 of the bits and bobs did raise my eyebrows, but more of that in a mo!

So lets get a rundown of what lurked inside…mainly to my delight, there was a rescue pack for my poor tired cracked heels, which need a fast and furious overhaul in time for full on flip flop season! Who has time or inclination to care for their callouses in winter…really?

Freeman’s deliciously scented range of scrubs, lotions & balms, teamed with Scholl’s luxury pedicure set sorted me out. I did take lots of before and after pictures but I didn’t want to put you all off your lunch, so I’ve refrained from using them this time and will save them for a later date! I was so excited about the Scholl pedi set as I’d only just seen the advert for it on television a few days before and made a mental note to get myself one double quick! Hey presto, I now had my very own solemate!

In all honesty, Id say it took only three nights of intense use, balming up and buffing away the winter damage for my feet to look like human extremities once more. The Scholl buffer was easy to use, only tickled a bit as opposed to attacking my sensitive soles and was impressively effective. I will say, I included my fail-safe extra step, which was re-slathering in Freemans and putting cotton socks over it before bed. Next morning, my feet felt light and refreshed, unlike the rest of me after a sleepless child-angst filled night.

My other favourite picks from the box of delights, were the healthy eating bars and all-in-one Superfood Smoothie. I lapped these up. I’ve mentioned recently, I’m hagging out and flagging big time in the beauty stakes at the moment, so I’m on a self-imposed fitness and focus drive. Basically, getting myself out of my work/house/kids/cleaning/life rut, and getting back to a much better balance for my body and mind.

I’m not good at eating healthily on the go so extra help came in the form of a detox smoothie and natural energy bars. Rammed with vitamins, minerals and plentiful other superfood goodness, the setox smoothie was surprisngly yummy and refreshing. I had never noticed these in Superdug before, but I’m going to stock up as its easy to whip up on the go and slim packed enough to stick one in the Mary Poppins bag of tricks I carry on a daily basis. The BareBar was so unlike any other of this nature I’ve tried before, it did not, in fact, taste of straw & cardboard shredded then mixed with oats, but was actually delighted my tastebuds by feeling like a real treat, and left me full for a good hour afterwards.

The Lighterlife 5:2 range of products are not for me, as Im on a different path for my personal health goals, but I have a friend who follows this on trend lifestyle religiously, so she was thrilled when I told her about the range and equally chuffed to get a goody-pack from my haul.

Now there was one item I wont go into too much detail about, but it sure did make me smile (the brand is called smile-makers for various reasons!) when I realised what it was! Not in a million years would I have thought of Superdrug as a stockist for this particular ‘treat’ but they really do cover everything! Reviewed in Elle & Cosmopolitan amongst others, it took me a few double takes to work out what it actually was in this cute, minimalist packaging..let me know how quickly you cotton on!
