Today’s post is a bit of a mix of eye candy and yummy healthy things! Well, it is a Monday, we deserve it!

Recently I’ve been getting so into the gym, despite having been a member for years I felt like I was getting nowhere fast. But I’ve been encouraged by my PT – more of him later ladies! – to get into eating clean and I have to say the difference is amazing! I’ve been immersed in getting a healthy mind and body lately and you can read more about that here.

I’ve cut out bread, I’m loading up on veg at every opportunity, no alcohol in the week and going high protein all  the way.  At first it was a bit of a struggle as I like my comfort foods and like most busy mums I’m low on time to create healthy meals but with that little bit of effort I’ve turned a corner and my waist is trimmer, my cellulite starting to finally look less and I generally just feel really well.

I’ve been trying to mix it up and make sure I don’t feel like I’m on a cardboard diet – urgh – making Joe Wicks ‘Lean In 15’ my go-to recipe book I’ve been having some dish delish food.

My fave recipe from the book is this Cheesy chicken & chorizo spinach number.

And I love that he advocates healthy puddings – in moderation of course! – like this gorgeous concoction which I love!!!!! #pancakeobsessed

Drinks-wise, obviously water is essential, I’m religiously necking 2 litres per day – yep, that’s a lot of toilet stops – and whizzing up nutrient packed smoothies to fill gaps between food, like this kale, spinach, avocado & mango one I heard about last week.

Ginger Mum: My lunchtime smoothie which was surprisingly yummy! Kale, Mango, Spinach, freshly pressed apple juice and a touch of avocado!
However, it’s not always convenient OR possible to make these so I needed something to drink when on the go which would compliment my workouts and keep me from raiding the confectionary shelves at petrol stations I pass throughout my day!

Luckily I’ve discovered these tasty treats.  UFIT high protein health shake is packed with 22g of protein goodness with added fibre, vitamins and minerals. Made from milk protein, UFIT is designed to support the demands of an active lifestyle and can help keep you healthy and on top of your day.
