Twas the week before Christmas and all through the UK, people were winding down and  prepping for the big day ahead….

So, with work finally slowing down to a manageable chug, it was time to don my Selfish Mother funky Christmas Jumper attend to the fun things I’d been putting on hold and one of these was my box of delights that Ideal World sent me.

As regular readers will know, we’ve been working together a lot in 2016, and I blame my mother! She has been banging on about the virtues of online ordering with Ideal World for years, their quick delivery, no-nonsense returns policy, their huuuuuge array of products, and their deadly deals of the day! When I say deadly I mean for your purse because although they are always fab bargains, once hooked, your credit card will take a regular bashing, it’s addictive!

They literally have everything you need for Christmas and there is still a full 5 days of deliveries available for the last minute rush and they have plenty to choose from!

They sent us a bumper box of gifts this year and something for everyone in the family – Harry couldn’t wait to tear everything open for a pre-Crimbo unwrapping.

Our tree is a whopping 6-footer, resplendent in white glitter, it sparkles across the whole room, much to my delight! The one I had before had come from our pre-kids flat in London and owed me nothing after 11 years of great service but it was time to ring the changes with a shiny new one and what a beauty it is. You can find it here….

There were gifts for Ginger Husband, Ginger Kids, Ginger Mum – woohoo!!!!! – and even Ginger Towers did well!

Pride of place on my fireside are these gorgeous Starlight  textured candles which indulge my festive down time dynamic as I can switch them on and off by a dinky little remote control so I don’t need to move from my space on the sofa to put them on. Loving that!

Harry nabbed my hubby’s gift as he had wanted a virtual reality headset for such a long time, but had forgot to put them on his own list for Father Christmas, so I have one happy boy – just don’t tell my husband!!!

One of my fave products from Ideal World this past year has been the Linda Lusardi haircare range and now that I’ve finished all of mine, I was chuffed to little mint balls to find a bonus pot of the conditioning cream in my loot. Ginger locks sorted!

The Hot Hugs microwaveable hot water bottle immediately screams of my mum to me. She has arthritis in her fingers and struggles to hold a hot kettle to fill her beloved hot water bottle in the evening, so this will take the stress away and she will be so pleased!

Harry also loved that we got a game to play as a family on Christmas Day, Accentuate, where you choose a card with a phrase on it and then have to say it in the given accent and see who can work you out! Try this after a few Proseccos! (Obviously for not the kids, that would be awful parenting, hic!)

What I cannot wait to try is my new sparkly sponge Cleanse Buff Glow which will have me sparkling from morning till night – A thought which tickles me greatly.

Whatever you want to give or to receive from Father Christmas, Ideal World has it covered from the decs, to gifts, the cookbooks to help you cook the perfect dinner and even the morning after cleaning, stain removers – and if you order items with the gift badge now you will still get it in time for the big day – enjoy!
