London Fashion Week Men’s has just exploded on social media over the weekend and the boys have never looked better or had more style in their strut.

Roll necks on sweaters for the boys just crept higher, pimped-up pj’s and tucked-in t-shirts rocked the walks, but what to wear for the smarter social scene?

Men’s wedding looks have taken a turn from dodgy to dapper as blokes have gone all metrosexual in recent years and upped their game.

Gone are the standard black suit, white shirt, token tie attire and our boys have turned on the style in a variety of stylish chic looks which can be worked for the man on the street.

It’s all about the girls usually for wedding season – read all about that in my bridal post here – but the boys refuse to fade into the background and let’s face it, we want our Prince Charming to compliment us, not make us cringe!

2016 saw the emergence of the blue suit as the champion of change and it is set to carry forward to this year too, with a few different takes on the new classic and who better to rock the look than the definition of handsome, David Beckham.

Accessorising well is key, otherwise you can kill this look stone dead.

Brown shoes, red ties are a bold pairing or go for something more subdued in lilac hues.

Stand out mens shoes and double take ties will set this smoking look off perfectly.

Nobody does it stronger or better than the master himself, Tom Ford

So with Spring around the corner – it is, just you wait! – and wedding season about to implode, get set quick, scrap the scruff and bag the best the high street has to offer before the cream of the crop sells out.

What do you like your bloke to wear for smarter occasions? Does he rock a chic suit with a cheeky grin?
