As a Scot blissfully living in England – I am short on family around me, even though I am a VERY lucky girl to have an amazing network of friends around me, when it comes to helping with the kids on a grander scale, nothing beats family.
One of my stepdaughters lives near us and she is a diamond, helping when she can, but having your parents around you would be the ideal scenario.
Unfortunately my parents live in Scotland, and much as it saddens them, they inevitably miss out on so many special moments with my boys.
