Over the summer, the opportunities for child-free shopping have been few and far between – well, more like non-existent.

So, with glee, I left my boys watching the footie with their Dad at the weekend and hot-footed it to my local shopping go-to, centre:mk

Y’all should now by now I am chuffed to mintballs to be working with CMK but when I don’t have my official style council hat on,(see pic above!) I’m to be found trawling the halls, picking up bargains and must-haves.

I had to get the kids their bits and bobs for school other than the branded uniform bits that are unavoidable so I hot-footed it to M&S for the standard trousers and shirts that over eight years of buying, have never let me down.

As a child, we never went past Clarks for school shoes and I guess old habits die hard because I always take my kids there to be fitted and kitted.

I planned on going to John Lewis for undies for the minis but accidentally fell into TKMaxx, as you do! Now I get why people really can see this shop far enough, it CAN look like such a jumble, but if you have a spare half an hour you can always find some real gems!

I picked up a checked shirt and wore it the very next day camping, a snip at £12.99.

Another cracker I recently bagged was a bargain Karl Lagerfeld sweater for £19.99 which I’ve worn non-stop.

As I headed to the tills (which are always chocca but go down fast) I spotted some cracking boots for Dominic for the winter.

Anyway, back to the kids shopping, I popped into Smiggle to grab some new stock for their pencil cases – this is always about an hour quicker without the kids I find! We can go in there and not come out for days! Ok, slight exaggeration but it sure feels like that.

Last stop was Quiz because I was taken by a fab pair of trousers in the window and knew they’d be right up my street and ideal for work – I get a bit distracted, so sue me!

Anyway, at £29.99 I was well chuffed with them, they fit like a glove and wore them to a Disney launch event the next day!

I had to get on my way as dinner needed to be made so that was my shopping spree over for the day but I am so looking forward to the upcoming StyleFest at Centre:MK on 28th & 29th September – I hope you are coming, it would be great to see you.

Until next time lovelies xx
