So for the past two weeks plus, we have been in a bubble of family, friends and festivities where time has no place and the days all run into each other. Children’s bedtimes elongated by a few hours each night, lovely late. lazy mornings becoming the norm and weekday sales shopping and lunch the interim normality.
Suddenly and all too soon, we are thrust back into the big bad world of reality once more and it’s hello to alarm clocks (wasn’t it ultra lush to ditch them for a bit?) and deadlines again.
How many diets and fresh starts will be embarked upon in January? How many self-imposed restrictions will fall by the wayside and resolutions will crumble into contraband spritzers?
Well ladies, there is strength in numbers, grab your girlfriends, start a fat club/fit club and support each other because girl power knows no bounds! There are events aplenty to inspire and motivate.
If you like getting down and dirrty a la Christina Aguilera, this event is for you:Β Muddy Races
For all those cruelly claimed by the curse of cancer, pay fitting homage by taking part in Race For Life with over 300 events to choose from across the UK. Warning: This one’s a true tearjerker, I know, I’ve done it! #proud & #pregnant
If you need life injected with colour and fun, the colour run is the only choice for you!
Embracing the sisterhood in full effect, everyone needs to do a moonwalk, at least once!Β Don’t burn your bra, wear it with pride and walk the walk!
And, a new entry on my radar, Gung-Ho! UK wide, a new take on a fit challenge…
And if none of the above are your bag, there are plenty of other choices to get you off your sofa and grab your girls for a personal best in 2016!
Good luck ladies!
Have you done any of these challenges? Tell me any I can add to the post!

My word of the year is fitness and I’ve agreed to do a 5k run with my boss! I’m not a runner so I really need to get my arse in gear and start training! Thanks for sharing these runs. Unfortunately my local Race For Life is the day after I come back from holiday so I can’t do that. The colour run looks interesting though!

Wow, good for you on the 5K! Colour run would be super messy but worth it I reckon!

Oh dear. Now I feel a bit inert. I don’t do nearly enough exercise although we always walk the school run and leave the car behind when we can. I keep toying with the idea of taking up running but though the flesh is willing, the spirit’s a bit,er, weak.

Got to start somewhere lovely, at least you walk to school! Grab your friends, there’s motivation in numbers!

I did the Race for Life years ago. Considering doing something this year with some of my Slimming World ladies.

I have to say I’m not a big fan of organised events and races – bah humbug! I much prefer getting up when everyone else is still asleep and going for a run! #TheBabyFormula

Love the look of the colour run. Always fancy doing that one. I have done the Race for Life. I haven’t done the Moonwalk but I did something similar which was an all-night walking marathon for another cancer charity. It was ridiculously tiring but amazing. #thebabyformula
