Every day I hear about the latest skincare miracle or the new hero product for our faces and it is really tough to sort the wheat from the chaff if I’m honest!

How many ‘miracle’ creams can actually be miraculous? God knows..literally!

I do sometimes get a bit dejected when I try a new ‘lifesaver’ and it amounts to not much more than wet watery potions with very little pzazz! This face ain’t getting any younger peeps and I want results – pronto!

I have to keep abreast of them all though, to enable me to bring reviews of them for you guys – yes, it’s a creamy job but someone has do it (smiley face emoji) – and one of the latest I was made aware of was Skinn Collagenesis, from Ideal World.

You guys know I love a bit of Ideal World, not just for their beauty steals but for essential stuff for the home, like my beloved pots! My mum actually introduced me to the channel as she is a faithful customer and kept banging on about the 14 day money back guarantee, the daily deals and the quality of her purchases. Then I started working with Ideal World for the blog and they’ve come to be a trusted source for the latest greatest launches and innovations.

So can Skinn Collagenesis live up to my huge expectations? I gave it a go to find out!

The 24-hour Youth Preservation Cream Elite is a chic pot full of promise, choc full of plump, rich mousse-like cream which can be used day and night for optimum results.

I found that it didn’t fully absorb into my skin so I only used a small drop on each occasion and tended to favour using it more at night than under my makeup as my skin gets quite oily enough throughout the day. When I use it at night though, I do wake up with softer, more glowing skin next morning.

Essentially it works by eking out all the rubbish and regenerating your skin, then softens it to it’s full potential.

When I get into a brand, I like to find out as much as I can about the background, hoping there’s a decent backstory and not just a multimillion pound PR machine at the helm and I was quite chuffed to find this little vlog of the man himself, Mr Skinn, Dimitri James and thought it would be fun to bring him to meet you too. (I know loads of people get paid to drop in video adverts etc nowadays but this is not one – I just quite like this guy and his ‘cut through the beauty B.S.’ attitude, so this is completely independent for info only, and I think, interesting).

I like that he too found the marketplace in general to be full of empty promises and resultless potions so got off his butt and made his own so we can just rub and go!

For this review I was also sent the Skinn Collagenesis Stem Rejen Facial Serum Elite which features three high-performing active ingredients, Glacier Water, Snow Algae Powder and Alpine Rose. Glacier Water in particular, my mum swears by, as it has youthful properties helping to keep skin looking younger by delivering deep, long-lasting hydration. She knows her stuff when it comes to beauty and anti-ageing, believe me!

Also in my delivery was the Stem Rejen Eye Serum which is basically tailored for the delicate eye area which I am seeing age far too darn fast…. I liked this one because it was feather light and absorbed super quickly but didn’t leave me with that filmy feeling, you know when you can just sense it sitting there?

Finally, there was the Lip Stem Rejen elite serum which was much more up my mum’s street as she gets annoyed with this area and she made off with it much to my annoyance. She reports that it rocks though and she feels much more confident after the effects.

All of the products other than the 24 hour cream have this Glacier water as their key ingredient and I was intrigued to find out more about it and now that I’ve researched it, I’m more than happy to have as much of this pure ingredient pumped into my skin as possible, thanks very much!

So is it my new miracle? Not quite but it is doing a pretty darn good job so far!
