I am 43 years old, have 2 kids and and busy working mum lifestyle. I cannot be tottering around in sexy spike heel boots on a daily basis.

I find it really hard to get on-trend boots that suit not only my leg shape but my lifestyle.

Too high a heel and I’m falling over as I chase the children around, too flat and they don’t look and feel how I want them to.

Too slim on the leg and my thighs resemble a jellyfish trying to stuff into a pipe and if too tight I end up walking like a robot.

I’ve been coveting the stunning Stuart Wietzman ver the knee boots rocking the catwalk this and last season and with the price tag a little over £600 for the entry level pair, it was one I’ve been mulling over for quite some time.

It was my extreme pleasure then, to find randomly, the last pair of these over the knee black suede jobs in River Island. £75 quid, job done.

I was so flummoxed, waiting in a mahoosive queue on New Years Eve, to return a dodgy Christmas gift when I spied these beauties and I instantly knew they were the ones. Cue violins and roses cos it really was love at first sight.

A true sign of me loving something is getting them on straightaway and sure as fate they adorned my legs that very night.

Here I am rocking them with my fave bargain silky leggings from none other than River Island (what can I say? I’m a R.I. girl) which I had picked up in the sales for a ridiculous £10!!

My fave gilet from TKMaxx which was £50 and I style up over coats, oversized jumpers and pretty much everything!

Topping it all off is my favourite bag of all, my Chanel 2.55, the purchase of which did mark the pinnacle of my bag-buying ‘career’ and was probs a moment a girl never forgets.

I am a self-confessed Chanel girl and maybe my next post should be about my collection – If you’d like that let me know in the comments – but this is probably my favourite piece I own.

I truly do love this mainly because I can wear it across body if I’m shopping in town and need to keep it close, or double strap over the shoulder for the cleaner, more classic, chic look I adore.

Yes, it was ludicrously expensive, but in lifetime value it will work out as a savvy purchase and don’t forget these bags increase in price at around £400 per year, so the resale value will increase too, should you ever be crazy or broke enough to want to sell it as pre-loved.

I did a shoot the other day in London for ASOS and I couldn’t resist pairing this ASOS dress with none other than my fave boots.  This outfit is sassy, comfy and a little bit funky – thanks to the boots – and my oversized Lady Dior bag from Luxury Promise sets it off to perfection.

I love Dior, have done since my teenage years and that wasn’t yesterday peeps!  I am feeling a new Dior bag purchase in my bones really soon, so watch this space. I am loving the Diorama at the moment – what do you think? You may have seen me trying one recently on my Instagram. It is in my head which usually means it will infiltrate my wardrobe soon but I don’t take these purchases lightly – I need to be sure.

Styling the boots up with a little nod to Spring – my Chanel sequin cardi and my everyday essential YSL large shopping tote bag is just the job. As entry level bags go, this one ticks every box and I love rocking it with everything but the kitchen sink in there and still managing to have my arm candy on fleek!

Thats’s where I love a bag exchange – out with the old, in with the new! I have sold so many bags which have had their use or really just have to make way for the newer flavour of the month and re-selling is a great way to fund new purchases.  Whether it is a second hand Omega you are after, a sold-out pair of must-have shoes, or that lifelong lust-have, the Hermes bag,  Vestiaire Collective and Depop are just some of the most popular around at the moment.

I’ve sold many second hand watches and pre-loved Louis Vuitton, to finance the arrival of a swanky new loved one – it’s the way forward, I’m telling you – trade up! You can follow me on Depop here: I have so much to upload next week – watch this space!

What do you think of my River Island over the knee boots then? Do you think they are a bargain purchase? Let me know! Which bag is your favourite?
