I get so sick of worrying about what my kids are watching online and the games they play that I am always looking for the next great thing for their Ipads.
When Kidloland got in touch to ask me if we’d like to give their much-loved family-friendly app a go, I was keen to see what they had to offer.
Recommended for under 5’s – I had concerns that Dominic wouldn’t connect with it as he has just turned five and it very switched on – child genius don’t you know! – so it was important for me to have him check it out.
There is SO much going on in this app, in a totally child-friendly format.
Kids can learn ABCs, animals, fruits, vegetables, shapes, seasons, occupations, weather and more with the help of 1000+ interactive nursery rhymes, songs, stories and educational activities and most importantly – NO ADS!! Ads on kids apps are my biggest bugbear, I was thrilled that Kidloland had none.
The subscription costs £29.99 for a year, or £3.99 a month, and is available through Android, IOS, and on the Amazon App Store for Fire devices. There’s even a 7 day free trial so you can try before you buy.
I reckon this is a must-have for parents of pre-schoolers as it challenges and entertains them in oh-so-many ways. That’s not to say their older siblings won’t enjoy too – I left Dominic to explore it and he loved it – especially the reading sections, as that is his great love at the moment.
One of the biggest plus points for me was that there was no battery scoffing and money munching wifi required for Dominic to play this when out and about, as once you’ve done the initial download, the app works offline.
Did it hold D’s attention? – yes, it absolutely did. Is he chomping at the bit to go on and play it every day like he does with other stuff on his ipad?– honestly, no. I think this is only because he is at the oldest end of the spectrum of who the app is aimed at, but goodness me, but boy do I wish I’d discovered this a couple of years ago!
I think it is a fab app, with endless games and fun for your little ones which hold no drama or negativity whatsoever – not many you can say that about nowadays on the net!
There are a gazillion in-depth reviews from other bloggers on Kidloland which you can find here, it’s good to see just how much value it has across the age ranges.
I have teamed up with those lovely people at Kidloland to offer you a free six-month subscription to enjoy it for yourselves!
As always, simply enter via the Rafflecopter below and good luck peeps!

At the moment I can’t get him off watching Fireman Sam…although the apps are very good and quite educational so I don’t mind really. All I keep hearing is Sam shouting ‘Where’s Norman?’ 😉

My little girl has a kids kindle fire and it’s got this Dino fong app on it that’s got little games and songs on and she plays it non stop. Mind you at 2 year old she can identify more dinosaurs than I can so it can’t be a bad thing x

What a cool app. We have some free kids games (don’t remember what they’re called) that my son enjoys playing, but he would LOVE this app.
