Wedding season is almost upon us – Spring can send Bridezillas all over the country into overdrive as their big days loom. Pinterest is awash with bridal inspiration and it got me to thinking back to my big day.
I really do wish I could transport back in time and do it all over again because although my day was lovely, there were lost of things, now that I’m older and wiser and far more Instagram savvy, I’d do differently.
Anyhoo, I digress, back to the prettiness that I keep being distracted by on Pinterest.
I have so many wedding related boards – follow them here! – and other than daydreaming purposes, I have absolutely NO idea why! But who doesn’t love just whiling away a rainy afternoon pinning the perfect wedding dress or the holy grail of engagement rings?
In my younger days all I dreamt of was a Tiffany engagement ring and all its glossy connotations. By the time I got to the age of actual fiance, I was SO much more savvy and knew it was more about the clarity of the diamond and not about the thrill of the turquoise box it comes in!
I happened upon this show stopping, jaw-dropping number when distracted by beautiful antique rings the other day which sparked the necessity for this post and I still think it is one of the most stunning I’ve ever seen. Out of most price ranges, but a design that can inspire many a tribute version, it takes my breath away. This one is from Berganza, in Hatton Garden – also where I got my rings!
I found so many others on there too, it all went pear shaped from there and I lost about an hour just browsing my break away…. I’m totally due for an upgrade after all these years, surely?
Straight on to the biggie – the most important dress you will ever wear:
Now, my dress was perfect for me at the time but I sure wish I’d been Pinterest savvy back then because it has opened up a whole new world of options for me.
Flower arrangements? No problem! Gosh, I can see from my top picks how girlie and romantic my tastes are!
Cakes? – I’ve got this!
Just indulge me here people but I am loving this table decor, dresses and these cakes! God, I need to renew my vows like NOW!!!
I wrote a quick guide for blokes recently too, on how to sharp dress your way to wedding season, read all about that here.
