I don’t know about you, but having two toy-crazy boys I have amassed a huge stock of unwanted, pre-loved fluffy friends, most of them relegated to the depths of our loft!

The boys don’t have bedrooms big enough to live with them all but wont part with them and allow me to get rid of certain favourites completely…..aaaargh!

However, I have a cunning plan! There’s a toy amnesty in Intu, MK and I’m hoping my charitable boys will embrace the idea big style!

Here are all the details:

‘The Amnesty will be located on Central Boulevard from Saturday 7 until Sunday 29 May. All donations are welcome, whether it’s a four-foot bear or a teeny tiny unicorn, even if it’s got a little stuffing oozing out; the talented team at The Zip Yard will be repairing any injured teddies at their Teddy Bear Hospital.

Recycling beloved teddies gives children the chance to pass on their furry pal to a child that can give it a new, loving home. Donations will be divided among selected local children’s charities and groups; any organisations that would like to be the beneficiary of donations can register by emailing[email protected] or phoning 01908 255618.

This is such a lovely idea, we definitely have enough to share and both Harry and Dominic get lots of pleasure from helping others so we are 100% on board. I love the idea that poorly toys will get some first aid too – so cute!

So come on guys, great excuse for a clear out and doing a lovely thing, all rolled into one. See you there!
