Prosecco has stormed the party scene over the last year or two as the must-have drink in hand. Spumante, Frizzante or Tranquillo – call it what you will – Italian fizzes are bubbling across the UK and retailers are up 66% on previous years sales of the tipple and to be honest, I barely hear the word ‘champagne’ anymore – has it lost it’s sparkle?
I have a terrible habit of featuring it in pretty much every other blog post – accidentally of course, but it says a bit too much about me!
The tipple is affordable, delicious, lighter than champers and an easy house guest gift. Made from the Glera grape in Italy’s Veneto region, the drink has made sparkling wine on trend once more.
I love the stuff (a bit too much but that’s another story!) and most of my discerning friends do to, so I thought it would be fun to put together a top 20 gift guide for my fellow Prosecco lovers, for year-round gift ideas.
Now it’s easy to run down to the local Co-op and grab a bottle of the good stuff, but a slogan present can be even better and a great gift takes a little more thought so here’s the run down of the best out there and where to go for it!
For a fresh take on your Christmas jumper, I loved when I saw this sweater jump out at me from my Facebook feed, it’s the ultimate Christmas jumper for classy chicks! It’s £29, by EllieEllieLtd &you can buy it here. I’d Gok this up into a Swarovski-studded version but hey that’s just me!
For the gift that keeps on giving, Bubble Club is a subscription box with fizz. Sign up for a loved one and every monthly(or bi-monthly) goodies galore will brighten up their day. I’ve been lucky enough to try their wares and can honestly say its a real thrill to have those bubbles bounce through the letterbox on a grey day and suddenly life feels that bit brighter!
You can even get snacks flavoured with the nations new national treasure, to fend of the munchies when you’ve drunk too much of it. Sugarsin are responsible for these treats – always great to take along to a festive soiree.
This pretty but practical apron says it all, available exclusively on N.O.T.H.S. and it’s created and beautifully hand-printed by my uber talented friend Adele at Nutmeg – I can’t tell you how creative this wonderful lady is, she can make you pretty much anything and I am truly blessed to be her friend.
Signs are a great gift and there are Prosecco options aplenty. Here’s my fave selection, all available from Not On The High Street.
A girlie night in for one is incomplete without a hot water bottle and a mug of…well whatever you fancy but be it hot or shot, here’s the mug and bot for you.
I like to sprinkle my tastes around my home, so these are my fave interior decor picks, all from trusty old Not On The High Street.
My mum loves a tea towel as a wee stocking filler, but since she is teetotal, these are far more my style!
Now bags are all the rage at the moment. Not the usual must-have Mulberry tote or the latest luscious Chanel shopper, but a bag for life! With the new legislation around recycling bags, re-usable canvas totes have never been more popular and these are my perfect picks! These can all be found on Etsy!
I couldn’t resist throwing in this oh-so-cute make up bag, it’s dreamy and quirky too…from Nails Inc for Lipsy and only £12!
So I hope this has inspired your gift-giving this year, let me know if you have any other fabulous Prosecco picks and I will be sure to feature them.
Now you all love a competition as much as I do, so I have the sparkliest one of all for you. Those lovely people at Premier Estate Wines – yes really! – have offered up a case of the good stuff – their award-winning Prosecco worth a whopping £50!!
To make your Crimbo go with a bang – simply enter the Rafflecopter below and best of bubbly luck to you!

I love that each year we put together a box/bag of gifts for a child in a 3rd world country, or a homeless person or someone in need such as a food bank. It keeps the real meaning of Christmas alive and allows us to feel even more thankful for all that we have. Now that we have a son, each year I will ask him to put some of his own toys (he can choose) in the box for that person/child so that he grows up with the same values <3

My favourite tradition is that we aren’t allowed into the living room until mum checks to see if santa has been which in reality gives her a chance to make a cup of tea. She would always say, sorry he’s not been this year until we were about to explode with exciting. I will defo carry it on with my kids. We are 23 and 21 now and she still tries it haha.

About 10 years ago my adult son donated some money to NSPCC online and received a letter addressed to him in the post from Santa (he clearly didn’t tick the no letter option box). Ever since then I’ve done letters (sometimes rude) from Santa to him and his wife; sometimes they are on the naughty list, sometimes nice. It causes much hilarity in their home. I must get on with this years as Santa will be here soon.

We have so many festive traditions but there is one which is the biggest. I’m nearly forty and I still have to go to put my mum’s Christmas tree up. I know her favourite baubles and who likes to see what from their chairs. Also I have to with that set up 2 nativity scenes and wrap all her gifts including mine and leave with tags etc. They are in there 70s and despite me being disabled and not very able bodied I still keep this tradition up x

Our tradition isn’t really a tradition but I refuse to have a modern looking tree. It has to be a real tree and it has to be decorated in a traditional way, so I can’t have bright pink baubles lol We do buy each other a new gift for the tree each year but again it has to have a traditional look to it x
